New Data: Need Student First Name and Last Name
per Barry Fass-Homes
Needed to create government reports and to support current reports.
New Filter: Add [Class Section Enrollment Flag] = YES
In the Enrollment and Enrollment Census data there are a lot of drops. Can you add a pre-built flag for [Class Section Enrollment Flag] = Yes so we can quickly filter on those who are currently enrolled when we are looking at the data?
Thanks, Renee Lee

New Data: Add major/minor change requests, included denied and still pending
SNOW REQ0113024 from Natalie Noles
- 1. In the area of changes of major, it is useful for departments to not only know which changes of major were approved or complete, it is also useful to know about requests for change of major that were denied or are still pending. Departments use this information to evaluate:
- Workload
- Potential patterns of movement among majors in the continuing student population, which is especially useful when considering admissions targets for those majors under a capped major status. Knowing how many students attempted to change to a particular major in a particular term is a helpful data point often considered by faculty when making determinations about these target numbers.
For these reasons, it would be helpful to be able to view data that comes through the change of major/minor tool, even if the action does not result in a change of major. From the current major/minor tool, useful data elements are, minimally:
Effective Term
Major(M) or Minor(R)
PID
Name
New Major/Minor
New Major/Minor Desc
Old Major/Minor
College
Request Status
Request Date
Dept Decision Userid
Dept Decision Date
Beginning Class Level
Ending Class Level
Question: can "UG non-transfer" be renamed to "first-time freshman" or "new freshman student?"
In the Pilot User Testing Feedback collab page, item "Heidi INC0053828" says "I started with the non-transfer group (we refer to this group as first-time freshman if you look at our tables)."
What is the rationale for calling this group "non-transfer?"Could this group instead be called/labeled "first-time freshman" (or "new freshman student" in SAH to be consistent with Data Warehouse's applicant type field which uses the abbreviation NFRS?
New Data: Add Student Live Scanner (SLScan) data
Student Live Scanner = Event participation; Student Event Management
Includes food pantry use and basic needs center
Compare students who participated in my event vs non-event students or other group
The
scanner system is a web-based application. It reads student's PID or
Barcode and check if the student is valid to attend the event based on
the preset criteria, such as college, class level, age limit, gender,
etc.
The system was built for the box-office and student life
cluster originally, but now more campus departments start to use it.
The system is hosted on our department's (UEO) MAC server at this moment. If a department would like to use it, they send the request to UEO staff or me (Dan Xu) and we will create accounts for them. Several types of real-time reports are provided to the event owner as well.
