Also please add term_reported fields (term reported is the field when the degree was reported to UCOP). IR uses this field along with award term data for calculating graduation rates and T2D and in documenting degrees awarded. Term_reported usually runs about a quarter behind. We typically pull this field in mid September for degrees data (and for graduation rates by cohort).

Student PID

I'd like to echo Christopher about being in favor of a more specific ID. Having a descriptive ID such as suggested by Patricia's examples would make identifying the ID quicker and easier. Definitely in favor of not using STU_PID for our students and writing it out as StudentID, for various reasons. 

Echoing Christopher and Natalie, we also use these data for validity purposes regularly.
